The Stock Horse of Texas Foundation, Inc. is a 501c3 that was developed to further the educational goals and member support to expand SHTX’s mission of “Helping People Ride a Better Horse."
The Foundation oversees scholarship funds for collegiate and high school recipients. In-progress goals include broadening educational opportunities, preserving the western heritage of the ranch/stock horse, creating an organizational endowment and developing a crisis fund.
The Foundation is working toward:
- Fund educational opportunities for youth and adults to improve their horsemanship and enjoyment of their horses
- Develop a crisis fund for SHTX members to help offset medical or other crises
- Fund professional development opportunities to expand leadership success of educational programs
- Develop an organizational endowment to solidify future leadership of Stock Horse of Texas
- Further recognize outstanding stock horses who achieve Superior or Supreme Merit Status and Legacy Horses
